A Little Bit about Reece
Despite never expecting it, I’ve developed a real passion for design, interiors and renovation.
Like many of you will know, it can be pretty difficult to switch off from work when you genuinely love what you do. So naturally I'm always talking about tiles, my family even find me spotting and naming tile collections during movies!
When I’m not talking tiles, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, or talking about one of my other passions: Liverpool, Formula 1 and boxing.

A Legacy
Long before Crafted existed, my Dad, Mark had already spent years learning the tile industry inside and out. He built up a wealth of knowledge about tiles, suppliers, design and, most importantly, what customers actually want from a tile specialist.
In 2019, he put that experience into practice and opened Metro Tiles.
What started as a small family business grew into a successful online tile store, built around something Mark always believed in: helping people find beautiful tiles without making the process complicated.
In October 2022, Mark was suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer.
Despite everything he was facing, he continued to work, share his knowledge and help me learn the business. He taught me far more than how to sell tiles. He taught me how to choose the right products, work with suppliers, look after customers and, perhaps most importantly, how to build a genuine business that people could trust.
Sadly, Mark passed away in August 2023.
Throughout his illness, he documented his journey and raised awareness of bowel cancer through his Instagram, @making_a_mark_on_bowel_cancer. His story is something I’m incredibly proud of, and something I’ll always carry with me.
It is quite easy to say, he was an absolute Legend.
